Currently, RWE (Real World Evidence) is among most relevant topics in health economics. Thus, in this issue we feature an article by J. Gill and P. Kanavos, covering a summary of some roundtable discussions organized under auspices of the London School of Economics.

Influenza vaccination coverage in Poland in considered to be suboptimal at best. The disease itself can lead to numerous health complications, especially among patients over the age of 65- will the reimbursement of a quadrivalent flu vaccine alleviate this issue? Kaczyński et al. investigate this topic in their article.

Introducing biopharmaceuticals in managements of cancer and various chronic diseases has been a significant development, however,  there are many issues associated with their use, both medical and systemic ones. This topic is presented in 2 articles focused on treatment of asthma and lung cancer.

Additionally, we recommend you works covering economics of diagnosing tuberculosis in Russia and familial hypercholesterolemia in Poland.

We also cordially invite you to our annual JHPOR Conference that will take place on April 13th in Warsaw.
